Beech Class have been building up to this trip for a long time and after a quick stop off on the way, they have finally reached the Houses of Parliament!
To see London is a big change for most of our children. Very different to our small school in Buckland St Mary but it's important to help shape our children in to confident individuals and give them the opportunity to see somewhere with such contrast.

Our favourite part of our Beech Class trip to Parliament were:
'I liked watching the debates in The House of Lords and The House of Commons' - O, Y5
'The circles of light depicting the tide changes on the River Thames' -W, Y5
'When we were inside Westminster Hall and looking at the different statues. Suffragettes chained themselves to one of them' - B, Y5
'Going through the security scanners when we arrived at Parliament' - O, Y5
'I really enjoyed the activities in the workshop where we worked with each other' - R, Y4
'I liked the people who showed us around Parliament' - B,Y5
'I liked the activities we did because they were fun. My favourite was the mystery box' - A, Y5
Thank you Mrs Henning, Mrs Jessup and our wonderful Parent Volunteers who came along on the trip to help!

Its great to see students getting hands-on experience in such an important place. It must have been an eye-opening trip! look at
